The Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos Islands, 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador make up Ecuador’s fourth distinct region. Known to be one of the natural wonders of the world, the Galapagos is like no other place on Earth. The islands, mostly uninhabited and of volcanic origin, are home to several species that do not exist anywhere else in the world, and the place where Charles Darwin defined his theory of the evolution of species.
