Is located west of Santa Cruz, is composed of a number of tuff cones and a central volcano bedecked with vegatation. Many volcanic eruptions were recorded in the last century the vegetation is dense in the highlands, and a scalesia forest covers the northwest side of thecentral volcano. The southern coast and a five-kilometres band inland, are only lava flows with arid vegetation.
