Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Upon your arrival to the capital of Ecuador, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your charming hotel in Quito, where you will receive your full itinerary and information about Ecuador and your trip.

Day 2 - Papallacta Hot Springs

We set out from Quito for the magical hot springs of Papallacta, for a soothing dip in its healing waters. We continue eastward on a scenic road that descends to the Amazonian town of Tena, traditional home of various Quechua peoples. We arrive at our Amazon lodge or hotel and enjoy dinner in our riverfront cabañas. (L, D)

Day 3 - Anzu River Rafting (Class II+)

First comes a warm run on the Anzu River. This relaxing Class II+ River is ideal for your first day in the jungle. We’ll learn a little more about local culture and how to raft as a team while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A picnic lunch will be served on shore of the river, and then we spend the evening relaxing at our jungle lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Jatanyacu River Rafting (Class III+)

Day four starts with a short hike to natural river swimming pools in the Llanganates National Park where you will be able to relax. Soon after we put-in on the Jatunyacu River, we’ll come to the exciting Pimpilala, Boulder Garden and Guide’s Revenge rapids.
