TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 - Transfer in Lima

When you arrive in Lima, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your charming hotel in the center of the city. Where you will revise the itinerary and make sure you are ready for your trip!

Day 2 - Lima historical city tour

Today you will visit the historical center of Lima; a UNESCO world heritage site. Enjoy a half-day private tour showcasing the contrast between old and new. Visit the historic downtown district filled with beautiful colonial architecture and impressive squares with manicured gardens and statues of Peru’s illustrious heroes. Explore the cathedral, Plaza de Armas (main square), San Francisco convent, and more. You’ll also visit the upscale coastal Miraflores district, strolling along the green clifftop Malécon park and an ancient olive grove in nearby San Isidro.

After lunch (not included), you will have some time with your guide to show you the city as a local depending on your interest, visit some galleries, do some souvenir shopping, visit a local market, etc.

Day 3 - Flight to Arequipa – City tour

This morning, your driver will bring you to the airport for your flight to Arequipa (not included). In the afternoon, you will enjoy a tour of the white city – monikered for its beautiful volcanic stone architecture. Visit key sites such as the Plaza de Armas, Santa Catalina Monastery, Compañia de Jesus, and panoramic city lookout points.

Day 4 - Scenic drive to Colca Canyon

This morning you will take a scenic 4 hour drive to Colca Canyon, passing towering volcanoes and quaint Andean villages along the way. Take the afternoon at leisure to acclimatize to the higher altitude.

Day 5: Colca Canyon visit – Transfer to Puno

Today, early wake up this morning will allow you to visit the famous Cruz del Condor lookout. Here spend a few hours spotting the Andean Condor, the largest flying bird in the world, as it soars above the 2nd deepest canyon in the world. After a stop for lunch (not included), a 6-hour drive will lead you to the shores of the lake, which is said to be the birthplace of the Sun God and the Inca Empire

DAY 6 - Lake Titicaca Visit

Early this morning, you will be taken to the highest navigable lake in the World. Lake Titicaca, is often compared to a small ocean as it is difficult to see the shore from one side to the other. Highlights include stops at the unique floating islands of Uros, where families live atop woven totora reeds, and Taquile which is known for its weaving traditions.

Day 7: Sillustani visit – Flight to Cusco

Venture to Sillustani, a pre-Incan cemetery on the shores of Lake Umayo. The tombs built above ground in large tower-like structures are called chullpas from the Qulla people. Learn about the site’s history and culture while enjoying the beautiful surrounding landscape. After your tour, you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Cusco (not included). Upon arrival to the Cusco airport, our representative will meet you and show you to your hotel

Day 8: Sacred Valley of the Incas

The Sacred Valley is located half-way to Machu Picchu which makes it perfect to visit before and after the main archaeological site. This morning, enjoy a scenic drive to the Sacred Valley. Along the way, you will make stops to visit llamas and alpacas at Awanacancha, and to explore the fascinating Pisac ruins and artisanal market. After lunch, visit the historically significant Ollantaytambo fortress, before going to your hotel to rest before Machu Picchu

Day 9: Machu Picchu full day – Transfer back to Sacred Valley

Begin your journey to Machu Picchu with a transfer to the train station followed by a train ride through the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival to the base of the mountain, take a winding bus ride to the famed Inca fortress for a half-day tour. Your expert guide will lead you through Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been astonishing explorers and travelers for years. Learn about the Incas who built the site, as you visit the temples, terraces, and all the best spots for photos. After a thorough exploration of the ruins, return via train to the Sacred Valley to rest for the night.

Day 10: Sacred Valley of the Incas – Transfer to Cusco

This morning, you will have a second day to visit the Sacred Valley on your way back to Cusco. Based on your interests, today you can choose from a selection of full-day, private Sacred Valley tours. Options include an immersive experience visiting Chinchero town and market, or an excursion to the iconic Incan sites of the Maras salt pans and the Moray ringed terraces.

Day 11: Cusco City Tour

Today you will visit the beautiful city of Cusco, which has both colonial and Inca influences. It is a city with a lot of history, arts and folklore.

Wander through the cobblestone streets of the Inca capital empire in South America, Cusco. On this half-day city tour you will visit the historical landmarks of the city center including the main plaza, Plaza de Armas, the Spanish colonial Santo Domingo Cathedral, and the Incan temple of Qoricancha. You will also visit the archaeological sites surrounding the city including the hill-top Sacsayhuaman with polished stones and panoramic views, the former military site of Puca Pucara, Quenqo temple, and the mysterious Tambomachay.

At night you can wander around the city with its nice restaurants and great artisanal products.

Day 12: Transfer out

Today, depending on your flight departure time, enjoy one last morning in Cusco. You will then be taken to the Cusco airport for your flight back to Lima and connection home. Upon arrival to Lima airport, continue to your international departure or onward travel. (Breakfast)
