Day 1 - Transfer in Lima

When you arrive in Lima, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your charming hotel in the center of the city.

Day 2 - Lima historical city tour

Today you will visit the historical center of Lima; a UNESCO world heritage site. You will start at the Plaza de Armas with visiting the cathedral and the Archbishop’s Palace.

Then, you will explore the Santo San Francisco Monastery: one of Lima’s most famous religious sites, being the oldest church in the city with interesting relics and where the first university of South America was founded. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the city from its tower. Afterwards you will wander around the old colonial streets and the modern district of San Isidro and Miraflores.

Days 3 -Flight to Cusco- Cusco & surroundings tour

In the morning you will fly to the beautiful city of Cusco, which has both colonial and Inca influences. It is a city with a lot of history, arts and folklore. You will visit to the Q’oricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the cathedral. Then you will go to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman (where the Inti Raymi Sun Fest takes place) and the nearby Inca Ruins of Cusco.

At night you can wander around the city with its nice restaurants and great artisanal products.

Day 4- Urubamba Sacred Valley Day Tour

While you start your journey towards Urubamba Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley), you can enjoy the beauty of the Andean landscape along the way. A few more miles will bring you to Pisac, a beautiful place where Incan and colonial influences have reached a perfect balance and created a unique way of life among the local inhabitants.

You will get a chance to explore this picturesque town, famous for its artisanal markets where you can find extraordinarily fine jewelry and ceramic and textile craftwork.

After lunch, you will visit one of the last remaining Incan towns, Ollantaytambo, which was once fiercely guarded by a massive fortress. You will discover the large archeological complex of what used to serve as a wayside inn for royal delegations on long journeys.

Surviving structures here include multiple walls and towers that were used to protect the citadel from possible invasions. You will spend the night in the valley.

Day 5- Machu Picchu: Lost City of the Incas tour

Today you will visit the famous Machu Picchu Inca ruins. Early in the morning you will travel to the village Aguas Calientes by train. Apart from hiking, this is the only way to reach Machu Picchu. On the way you can enjoy beautiful landscapes and traditional entertainment.

Upon arrival will go up the mountain, to the breathtaking Inca ruins. These ruins are divided into three districts and were intricately built using impressive, ancient techniques. You can take the time you need to internalize the ruin´s atmosphere and its breathtaking environment. A delicious lunch will be served from a restaurant with view on the Inca ruins. You will spend the night in Aguas Calientes; a friendly village where cars are not allowed.

Day 6 - Second Machu Picchu visit – Return to Cusco

Today you will have the opportunity to visit Machu Picchu again, this time without guide. Because it is in historical place surrounded by amazing nature, visiting the ruins twice is absolutely worth it.

Afterwards you can explore Aguas Calientes, where you can by many handmade souvenirs. In the afternoon, you will go back to Cusco by train, where you will be welcomed and brought to your hotel.

Day 7 - Sightseeing transfer to Puno

Today you will be transferred to Puno in a tourist bus. On the way you will stop at different locations: the colonial church in Andahuaylillas, the Raqchi Inca ruins and Pucara.

The archeological sight Pucara served as a fort that had to protect Cusco in Inca times. A typical lunch will be served on the way. In the afternoon you will arrive at Puno, where you will stay in a hotel located at the beautiful Titicaca Lake.

Day 8 - Uros Floating Islands and Taquile tour

Today you will go to the amazing floating islands of the Uros, inhabited by fishermen and hunters. The Uros people are known as the “People of the Lake”, and the islands are built out of reeds that grow about the lake called ´totora´.

After this interesting visit you will head to Taquile Island, where you will have lunch and you will experience the islanders’ customs and traditions, their colorful outfits that still follow the designs of their ancestors, and the local art.

Day 9 - Sillustani Ruins visit – Transfer to Juliaca – Flight to Lima

In the morning, you will visit the Sillustani Ruins; pre-Columbian tombs next to the Umayo Lake, one of the little sisters of the giant Titicaca Lake.

The tombs of Sillustani are built above ground in tower-like structures called `chullpas´, and were the vestiges of the Colla people.

Afterwards, you will be transferred to the airport of Juliaca. From here you will fly to Lima, where you will be welcomed and brought to your hotel.

Day 10 -Transfer out

After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you will be brought to the airport for your flight back home. (Breakfast)
